Tonya's Diaper Cake

Even though Tonya left the Tidewater a few years ago, we still see each other periodically. Well, she's engaged and got pregnant, and her baby shower was today. I didn't request off from work because I usually work at 4, but this time I was scheduled to work at 12! Luckily, Amie was going to the shower, so she picked up my gift and delivered it for me. I love it!

I saw it on Pinterest, and found a tutorial. I thought it was really appropriate, since she's having a boy - my usual diaper cakes are just too girly (see the ones I made for Holly, Hilary, Julie, and Ashley). It was relatively easy to make, and super cute!

Hope for Oklahoma

A Silver Bella friend has started an on-line auction on Facebook, called Hope For Oklahoma, to help out the folks in Moore, Oklahoma following the devastating destruction of their town following that huge tornado. I am donating items for the auction.

I am donating two crocheted Ruffle Scarves made out of Red Heart's Boutique Sashay. The colors are Rumba and Waltz, and they are both about four feet long.

Please swing by the Facebook site from June 10 to June 12 to bid in this auction - it's for a really good cause.

Wildlife Abounds

Look! A fawn.

Tom spent hours today trying to figure out what to do with it, since it was just lying in the middle of the yard and he thought it was injured and abandoned. When Tom and Sally finally decided to put an umbrella over it, for shade, it got up and ran away while their backs were turned. I wish I could've seen it in person.

Fly Like a Raven

This year's Raven's Roost Convention had the theme, "Fly Like a Raven," which is a play on the Raven's slogan, "Play Like a Raven." The parade was full of the usual fun stuff - players,

Ed Dickson

coaches,

Don Martindale
Inside Linebacker Coach

and floats from the various Raven's Roosts

Ocean City

Elkton

- but this year there were a few players from our last Super Bowl season.

Kyle Richardson

And of course, musical entertainment was provided by Baltimore's Marching Ravens Pep Band. Do I need to say that we sounded fabulous? Well, we did.
